OPEN DOOR CHRISTIAN CENTER
Hope Recovery Support Services
The Open Door uses the Celebrate Recovery approach, which is called
“Hope Recovery”, to redeem the individuals life from alcohol and drug
addiction. We hold group meetings Monday thru Saturday, mornings
and evenings, except Wednesday evening and Sunday. We have
Wednesday evening worship and bible study in Hope Chapel located
on campus. We also have Sunday morning worship service at Hope
Chapel. We conduct one Celebrate recovery meeting held on campus
on Tuesday evening which is open to the public. We attend Community
events involving local churches as often as possible. We put the men
into every bible service/worship service we can during their stay with
Open Door in Hope Recovery.
At the end of their recovery time we have a few options available to the
men anywhere from extending in the program, entering into our
internship, transferring into homeless status or moving into the half way
house once they get a job.
We also network with other homeless shelters, half way houses and
ministries to offer the men even more choices.
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to
drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you
looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. (Matthew 25:35-36)
